Fun fact, myself and @strengthcoachni set up the Gain Forth Teaching Academy way back in 2017.
A simple concept, try and help improve the fitness industry and cut down on the cowboys.
This led to a partnership with @unilearning_ who took over our courses and moved their academy in our new unit in Argyle.
They shared the same ethos as us, let's improve the fitness industry.
Recently, with social media exploding, this has led to PTs popping up everywhere.
There is no real regulatory body in the fitness industry to catch these crooks out, so you need to be careful about who you choose with.
You're spending your hard earned money, putting your health in someone's hands. If they're not qualified, they're also not insured. If you get hurt, you're not covered.
I know it's a bit of a rant, but I want people to do their own research before they choose a coach.
A genuine PT or Coach will have no hesitation in showing you their qualifications. In fact, they'd be proud.
Just because people upload training videos, doesn't mean they know how to coach, doesn't mean they are insured and doesnt mean they are qualified.
Stay safe out there folks, it's the wild wild west these days
